Since the founding of the university, the course of theoretical mechanics of Beihang University is an important basic course for aerospace, aerospace, mechanical, control, mechanics and other disciplines. The first generation of theoretical mechanics has been formed by such well-known scholars as Huang Kelei, Gao Weibing and others Teachers. They absorbed the rigorous curriculum system and teaching methods of the Soviet Union. After more than 20 years of accumulation, they formed a teaching concept and characteristic of combining theory with experiment. Due to the limitations of the current hardware conditions, only a small number of teaching models were used for demonstration experiments in classroom teaching (such as the dynamics of gear drives, gimbal drives and gyro models) to verify the relevant theoretical results bull bear.
After the reform and opening up, Xie Chuanfeng and other teachers inherited the concepts and characteristics of theoretical mechanics teaching. Since the beginning of this century, BEA theorists have inherited and carried forward the teaching concepts of predecessors, established demonstration laboratories and experimental production studios, enriched the contents of experiments on the basis of practice and accumulation by using modern educational resources and technologies Comprehensively, adding exploratory experiments, constructing experimental teaching platform of this course, and more comprehensively and systematically realizing the integration of theoretical teaching and experimental teaching, the combination of the first class and the second class. After many years' efforts of teachers and students, it has achieved a virtuous cycle of the Trinity sustainable development of discipline construction, curriculum construction and personnel training.
The development of Beihang's theory of mechanics teaching has accumulated the efforts of several generations of teachers, but also carries the accumulation of more than half a century of teaching reform results.
2. The Theory and Purpose of Theoretical Mechanics Experiment Teaching Platform Construction
The theoretical mechanics course is an important technology basic course for a number of majors such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, control, aviation, aerospace and mechanics in engineering institutions of higher learning, as well as a core course for the related major of BUAA. The original teaching of theoretical mechanics is relatively lack of experimental or practical aspects of teaching, the original demonstration experiment is mainly through the implementation of visual teaching to solve some of the difficulties in teaching.

(2) Through the exploratory experiments, the first class teaching of theoretical mechanics and the second class teaching are organically combined to increase the teaching links of students' autonomy and practicality so as to better implement the teaching according to individual circumstances. The questions of inquiry-type experiment come from the mechanical problems in real life, the mechanical problems of scientific research into teaching and the mechanics problems in the construction of experimental teaching. As experimental subjects of Beihang University students' extracurricular scientific and technological activities, these experimental subjects volunteered to participate in the experiment. Students were free to choose experimental subjects, design their own experimental programs and make experimental devices to enhance their hands-on and motor skills and cultivate their innovative awareness and collaboration. To this end, we have set up a theoretical mechanics demonstration laboratory and experimental production studio, to provide students with the necessary experimental tools and equipment, as well as teacher guidance and counseling,In addition to this, the pioneering lunar mapping techniques developed by the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics has been deployed in the topographical analysis and landing site selection of Chang.
